ABOUT OLHA

Ukrainian conductor Olha Dondyk (19) made her debut in January 2024 with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra in a concert organized in support of Ukraine; she was reinvited immediately.

Despite the challenges posed by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in March 2022, Olha found refuge in Germany. With the help and support of newfound acquaintances, she maintained her artistic spirit, eventually starting her studies at the Cologne University of Music and Dance later that year. Specializing in orchestra conducting under the guidance of Professor Alexander Rumpf, Olha realized her longtime dream of creating music with her beloved instrument, the orchestra

COMMITTED TO THE ART OF CONDUCTING

Earlier in her career, in January 2022, Olha took a significant role as an assistant conductor and soloist in the choral musical "Kai and Gerda" by Andriy Bondarenko at the National Philharmonic of Ukraine. This marked a notable chapter in her musical journey, reflecting her commitment to the art of conducting early on.
